Loula seeks experienced birth doulas to join a growing independent provider network in California. We offer full-service Medicaid enrollment, credentialing, insurance verification, and smooth payments, letting you focus on client care.

Earn up to $134/hour of billable time, with rates varying by payer. You’ll operate as an independent contractor with no minimums, receive client referrals, and enjoy admin support for billing and verification.

• One of the following: Completed 16 hours of birth doula training and attended 3 births as a doula, OR 5 years of experience as a doula with 3 letters of recommendation.

With a network of over 500 experienced and diverse doulas, Loula is building the leading provider network for birth and postpartum doula care. We partner with both Medicaid and commercial health insurance plans to make it easier for doulas to accept health insurance without the administrative burden.

Loula offers full-service support for Medicaid enrollment, credentialing, insurance verification, medical billing, and payment to doulas in California. By taking on the operational complexity, Loula empowers doulas to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.

Minimum Qualifications

You’ll need one of the following:

• Completed 16 hours of birth doula training AND attended 3 births as a doula, OR

• 5 years of experience as a doula, with 3 letters of recommendation

You'll also need:

• Adult and infant CPR training

• HIPAA training

• Liability insurance
