Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full time Prefabrication Shop Manager to join our team within the Prefabrication department.

This position requires a strong leadership presence to ensure all procedures are being followed. They will monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employee engagement. This candidate will complete forms, create and maintain schedules, coordinate with all levels of staff, be responsible for QA/QC, Exceptional communication skills are essential, and be a mentor and leader for our Pre Apprentices. Ideal candidate will actively pursue continued education in management and stay current with industry standards and advancements within the electrical field

Major Duties

  • Monitor workplace performance.
  • Lead training initiatives to improve employee engagement.
  • Coordinate all prefabrication builds on the floor.
  • Schedule and maintain daily workflow with the prefabrication teams.
  • Coordinate and schedule all outgoing shipments.
  • Oversee scope of work and order materials.
  • Report employee attendance and update all attendance logs.
  • Train and mentor Pre Apprentices in electrical installation and prefabrication builds.
  • QA/QC product quality.
  • Oversee job site balances, track material status, and back orders.
  • Create new prefabrication ideas and processes.
  • Overseeing scheduling, packaging, and the kitting process.
  • Understanding all components of Prefab
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10 Years in the field
  • Journeyman electrician.
  • 5-10 year field experience.
  • Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel), Bluebeam experience.
  • Management Skills.
  • Material and product knowledge.
  • Understanding of NEC.
  • Shipping and receiving knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization and efficiency is a must!

This full-time Prefabrication Manager position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. As a full-time Electrical Project Manager, you would also be eligible for an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and paid personal time (PTO).

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Friday, 7:00 am – 1:00 pm.
