The Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) is Stanford University's premier institute for economic policy research, offering a predoctoral research fellows program. Predocs work full-time with one or two SIEPR faculty on research projects and participate in professional development activities, with eligibility to enroll in one Stanford course per quarter.

This fixed-term position (up to 2 years) begins July 6, 2027 and requires a bachelor’s degree before start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life, social, physical science, or related field.
• Experience applying scientific theory and methods.
• Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct research tasks using theory and published guidelines.
• Develop and administer survey instruments and rating scales; summarize results.
• Review/audit case report forms for accuracy and compliance with protocols.
• Identify, extract and summarize data; present findings to supervisor.
• Conduct literature searches; write literature summaries/manuscripts.
• Build and organize data; use statistical programs as needed.
• Adapt nonstandard methods; assist with design and evaluation of research projects.
• Assist in communicating research findings to internal/external audiences.
