Job summary

International Paper in Selma, AL is seeking a PdM Supervisor to own the condition monitoring program and drive a shift from reactive to proactive maintenance. You will lead PdM technicians, ensure safety, and coordinate data collection across rotating and critical equipment.

Required are 10+ years in industrial maintenance/engineering, a mechanical engineering background preferred, and strong leadership abilities. This is a salaried, full-time position with a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 10 years in industrial maintenance/engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, and motion amplification; Level 1 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the condition monitoring program and drive proactive maintenance.
• Ensure PdM activities follow safety, LOTO and environmental policies.
• Lead, support, and develop PdM technicians.
• Lead team meetings to review workload and safety concerns.
• Build and manage data collection routes across equipment.
• Analyze trend data to identify issues and enter work notifications.
• Partner with maintenance workflow to prioritize PdM findings.
• Ensure PdM equipment maintained and calibrated.
• Own and improve CMMS data for PdM.
• Track route completions and defect identifications.
• Participate in RCFA's and use findings to improve PdM.
• Support Reliability team as needed.

The Job You Will Perform

• The primary focus of this position is to own the condition monitoring program and to help drive a shift from reactive to proactive maintenance in the mill. Duties include:
• Ensure all PdM activities follow plant safety, LOTO and environmental policies
• Lead, support, and develop a team of PdM technicians setting expectations for daily activities, priorities, and quality of work
• Lead team meetings to review workload, safety concerns, and technical challenges
• Build and manage routine data collection routes and schedules across rotating and critical equipment
• Analyze trend data to identify developing issues and enter work notifications to address
• Partner with maintenance workflow team to prioritize findings from PdM technologies
• Ensure PdM equipment is maintained and calibrated as required
• Own and continuously improve CMMS data as it pertains to PdM activities
• Ensure PdM route compliance and effectiveness through tracking route completions and defect identifications
• Participate in RCFA's on equipment failures and use findings to improve PdM program as warranted
• Support Reliability team colleagues as need arises

• Working knowledge of Vibration analysis, Ultrasonic emission testing, and/or Motion Amplification. Must have Vibration Level 1 Certification or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting background
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, and/or engineering in a manufacturing environment is required. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered
