Job summary

Honda in Ohio is seeking qualified engineers to support the VQD Predictive Maintenance (PdM), RCA, and ACM programs. You will pursue uptime improvements, promote predictive technologies, and own RCA processes for multiple shifts. The role requires experience with CMMS (Maximo) and a focus on preventing equipment failures.

Second shift with potential flex to hybrid schedules, travel to other plants, and cross-functional teamwork. Strong problem-solving and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science or 2 yr technical degree (Robotics, Equipment, Electrical, Mechanical) with experience or equivalent engineering / maintenance experience
• 2+ years operation and recovery of manufacturing equipment based on education
• Advanced problem-solving skills: ability to analyse problems to determine root cause and implement countermeasures
• Clearly and concisely document thoughts, ideas, requirements, and problems
• Interpersonal and systems/technical leadership
• Ability read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings
• Monitor and ensure safety compliance
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Ability & Desire to work B and occasionally flex to C Shift.

Responsibilities

• Execute defined Predictive Maintenance (PDM) strategies and activities
• Implement new PdM technical strategies and activities
• Perform RCA, CM development, and troubleshooting support
• Analyze CMMS PMs/CMs/BDMs to improve effectiveness and reduce breakdown potential
• Identify VQD Equipment Characteristic Improvement Projects & Scope/Plan/Execute
• Collaborate regionally on PdM technology and best practices
• Develop capability of self through formal and internal training
