Thalle Construction Co. Inc. (“Thalle”) is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will work with the Preconstruction & Procurement Department, reporting post-bid. The role involves interacting with staff at all levels, maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, multitasking, and efficiency. The position is based in Alvarado, Texas.

Job Title: Senior Estimator

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Participate in estimate strategy planning
• Perform quantity take-offs and verify with support staff
• Enter estimates in HCSS software and assist in database management
• Participate in bid reviews and subcontractor negotiations
• Conduct product research and maintain records of pre-bid communications
• Explain estimate details, including man-hours and personnel resources
• Work independently and collaboratively
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally
• Travel to job sites for pre-bid meetings, as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in estimating or construction management
• Proficiency in Agtek, Bluebeam, HCSS, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to perform detailed take-offs in heavy civil work
• Experience reading civil construction drawings and contracts
