Kay & Co is seeking a senior preconstruction leader for a respected regional builder on the North Shore of Massachusetts. You will lead preconstruction from design through buyout, partnering with clients, architects and engineers to shape budgets and delivery strategy.

This role emphasizes accurate estimates, value engineering, and strong client relationships across commercial, healthcare, and multifamily sectors, with a focus on New England projects and Massachusetts subcontractor networks.

Qualifications

• Senior preconstruction or estimating experience with a commercial GC/CM.
• Proven track record in New England and MA markets.
• Experience across multiple sectors (commercial/healthcare/industrial/multifamily).
• Confident presenting to clients and design teams.
• Strong relationships with MA subcontractors.

The role

• Lead preconstruction from early design through to buyout and handover to operations


• Produce conceptual and detailed estimates, budgets and cost plans


• Drive value engineering and constructability reviews with architects and engineers


• Build integrated schedules and help shape the delivery strategy for each project


• Manage bid packages, subcontractor outreach and procurement


• Work directly with clients and leadership to win and shape new work
