Job summary

Pyramid Construction Services is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead budgeting, estimating, and design coordination for commercial projects. You will develop conceptual to GMP estimates, analyze drawings, coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and track cost impacts throughout the design process.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years in preconstruction with a general contractor, strong communication, and proficiency in Excel/Word and takeoff software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in construction.
• 5–10 years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction experience with a general contractor.
• Experience developing conceptual and schematic estimates, and interpreting drawings and specs.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word and takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates.
• Develop budgets from limited design information and project criteria.
• Analyze drawings, specs, and requirements for accurate costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor pricing and quotes.
• Identify cost drivers, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and estimate summaries, tracking changes.
• Maintain knowledge of labor, material, equipment, and market pricing trends.
