Job summary

Royal Electric is offering a summer internship in our Sacramento office within the Preconstruction Management team. The role provides hands-on learning in electrical project development, with exposure to bidding, scheduling, and coordinating with vendors.

Current students pursuing degrees in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields will gain real-world experience, teamwork skills, and a pathway into the industry.

Qualifications

• Currently a student pursuing a degree in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing RFPs for key content.
• Contributing to development of project schedule.
• Conducting takeoffs.
• Assisting with outreach to vendors and subcontractors via emails and phone calls.
• Participate in department meetings to collaborate on projects.
• Photographing and documenting job site conditions.
• Able to travel to job sites as needed.
• Research subcontractors, vendors, etc.

We are currently accepting applications for Interns for our Sacramento Office location. This opportunity will be starting Summer 2027, working with our Preconstruction Management team.

There are several areas of the business the Intern will be exposed to at Royal; being provided with opportunities for hands on learning and invaluable experience that will serve them well in their careers.

Success in the position can be achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

Safety & Physical Requirements

• Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
• Mustcomply withall safety standards and procedures.
• Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday.
• Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Must be able tolift upto 15 pounds at times.

Internships will look different based on a candidate’s direction, goals, and schooling.

Salary Range:

• $22-$27
