Job summary

BW Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller, seeks a Preconstruction Engineer, Construction, to support capital projects in our Fort Worth area and other offices. You will work with a team of industry experts to estimate, plan, and buyout design/build projects, contributing to the world-class solutions we deliver to clients.

You will develop schedules, manage multiple projects, review I&C documents, and coordinate with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction experience including subcontractor procurement and on-site project management.
• Ability to read and understand construction, installation, and I&C documents.
• Experience on large commercial projects (greenfield or renovations).
• Experience with light industrial/manufacturing projects in Food & Beverage or Life Sciences is a plus.
• Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel for project requirements including installations, meetings, and trainings.
• Procore and Project experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support capital projects individually and in teams to implement client solutions.
• Estimate, plan, and buyout design/build projects under supervision.
• Gain experience building industrial structures across sectors.
• Develop project schedules, phasing plans, bid lists, scope packages, and cost evaluations.
• Coordinate with design group teams and maintain cost data.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, OEMs, and suppliers.
• Participate in post-project reviews.
• Qualify vendors and subcontractors.
• Process RFIs, bulletins, and submittals.
