Job summary

HAYA Therapeutics in San Diego seeks a preclinical genomics specialist to execute cellular assays, tissue histology, and spatial transcriptomics to support target validation pipelines.

You will perform primary cell culture, ASO screening, RNA/DNA/protein extractions, and histology, while maintaining rigorous ELN records and contributing to data-driven decisions.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in molecular biology or related field required; experience with in vivo sample handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary cell isolation and culture in mammalian models.
• Practical nucleic acid extractions and transfection screening.
• Histology, IF, FFPE/cryosectioning and imaging.
• In vivo sample handling and chain-of-custody.
• Strong ELN/documentation discipline.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Execute primary cell isolation, tissue culture, and cell line maintenance.
• Perform ASO screening and compound treatments.
• Isolate and process RNA, DNA, proteins from samples.
• Tissue processing, FFPE embedding, sectioning, staining.
• Perform spatial transcriptomics and multi-omics workflows.
• Capture and analyze fluorescence images.
• Support in vivo study workflows and tissue dissections.
• Maintain ELN records and SOPs.
• Synthesize data summaries for teams.
