Job summary

AbbVie seeks an InVivo Imaging Scientist to lead preclinical PET imaging studies across neurodegenerative and related areas. You will coordinate multiple imaging studies, work with rodents and large animals, and analyze imaging data to support translational research programs.

The role requires a PhD or an equivalent level of experience, strong publication history, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams including chemists, biologists, pharmacologists and clinicians.

Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated skills in preclinical PET imaging.
• Ability to meet deadlines in multidisciplinary teams and deliver high quality data.
• Good publication record in international peer reviewed journals.
• Capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Track record of successful collaborations/building partnerships.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Function as the study coordinator of several preclinical imaging studies.
• Provide experimental support for preclinical PET imaging studies in rodents and large animals.
• Operate imaging systems including Mediso PET/CT devices.
• Handle and process plasma samples for radiometabolite analysis via HPLC.
• Perform analysis of imaging data using specialized software.
• Develop and ensure high quality study protocols.
• Ensure maintenance of imaging equipment in collaboration with vendor support.
• Communicate key results to team members and stakeholders and contribute to study reports/publications.
