Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience with strong publication record and professional references.
• Experience developing preclinical in vivo models.
• Expertise in rodent neuroanatomy, stereotaxic surgery, animal behavior and histology.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and contribute to a highly collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the abilities to thoroughly document and effectively present scientific data.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute and analyze preclinical studies in neurological models to assess safety and efficacy of cellular therapeutics.
• Establish new preclinical models and perform in vivo and histological activities for translational development.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and external groups to coordinate complex studies.
• Train and supervise research associates.
• Communicate results clearly in written and oral formats.
• Interpret multidisciplinary data sets critically.
• Maintain notebooks and electronic files for each experiment.
• Prepare scientific presentations and manuscripts for publication.
• Develop and author protocols, reports and other scientific and quality documents.
• Uphold high standards of scientific excellence and data integrity.
