Job summary

Biomedical Research Foundation is seeking a skilled animal technician to provide daily husbandry and support pre-clinical imaging studies for CMIT projects. Responsibilities include IV, SQ, and IP injections in rodents, data logging, and collaborative study support.

The role requires experience with imaging modalities (PET/SPECT/CT/MRI) and operation within a USDA-registered facility, with strong organizational and communication skills to support ongoing research at the Center for Molecular

Qualifications

• B.S. in biomedical or veterinary discipline with 2+ years of specialized lab experience.
• Experience with rodent handling, injections, anesthesia/analgesia, and necropsy.
• Familiarity with optical, PET, SPECT, CT and/or MRI imaging experiments.
• Rodent tail vein injection experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a USDA-registered facility and comply with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain rodents and primates.
• Perform rodent cage changing and facility upkeep.
• Order supplies and manage daily records.
• Administer test articles by IV, SQ, and IP injections.
• Conduct pre-clinical imaging studies and data analysis.
• Perform in-life bleeds and tissue collection for histology.
• Assist with study design and manuscript preparation.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Record logs, clinical records, and environmental data.
