Job summary

FUJIFILM Sonosite seeks a Scientific Applications Specialist to provide expert field support for high-frequency ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging. You will demonstrate product value through sales demos, customer education, and training, traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

The role emphasizes preclinical ultrasound expertise and collaboration with product management to gather feedback and enhance offerings. Travel is required, including occasional international trips.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in a relevant scientific discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in preclinical imaging, particularly ultrasound and photoacoustic technology.
• Strong technical background with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Excellent knowledge in small animal anatomy and physiology.
• In-depth knowledge in oncology, cardiology, and neurobiology.
• Good understanding of genetics and molecular biology.
• Proficient in using imaging software and analytical tools.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional international trips.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales demonstrations of high-resolution ultrasound and photoacoustic equipment at training facilities and customer sites (travel involved).
• Travel to and participate in trade shows, conferences, and workshops as a subject matter expert.
• Conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers on the use of newly acquired equipment, at training facilities or customer sites.
• Offer pre-installation and post-installation application support for ultrasound and photoacoustic equipment.
• Address and resolve customer satisfaction issues as assigned.
