Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking a DOT Hostler to move trailers and freight with precision in our Mira Loma yard. You will shuttle trailers, support loading and material handling, and maintain a safety-first environment that improves dock productivity.

Requirements include a valid CDL, ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and experience operating forklifts. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with a clean driving record that meets DOT standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience/training, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to safely operate forklifts and industrial equipment.
• Hazardous Materials training and certification.
• Strong working knowledge of safety protocols, operating procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and operational instructions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute yard and trailer operations with precision across dock doors, staging areas, and parking lots.
• Load, unload, and transport freight using forklifts and related equipment.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and equipment integrity per DOT standards.
• Collaborate with dock supervisors and operations teams to align on priorities and keep yard flow.
• Support team initiatives to improve productivity and safety.
