Job summary

Midcon Cables Company is seeking dedicated Wire Harness/Cable Assemblers to build wire harnesses and cable assemblies. You will read and follow assembly instructions, route, wire, and assemble electronic components, and operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses and wire strippers.

You will perform hand assembly, conduct functional tests, solder wires to connectors, and carry out visual and dimensional inspections, all while prioritizing safety and quality in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

Must be able to sit for long periods.
Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to distinguish colored wires for accurate assembly.
Ability to handle small parts and perform repetitive motions.
Able to perform pull/push motions up to 10 lbs.

Responsibilities

Read and follow wire harness/cable assembly instructions.
Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
Perform hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions.
Operate semi-automatic equipment (crimp presses, wire twisters, wire strippers).
Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using test fixtures.
Use a soldering iron to solder wires to connectors.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products.
Prioritize safety and quality throughout the assembly process.
