Baker Hughes seeks a Welder IV to contribute to the safe fabrication of high‑quality components in our manufacturing operations. You will review drawings, prepare materials, and perform MIG/TIG welds with a focus on accuracy, safety, and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, aligning parts, meeting production schedules, and performing layouts while maintaining quality standards. A welding certificate and NADCAP readiness help ensure success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Welding certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 months of TIG & MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Intermediate math and reading skills.
  • Ability to operate industrial welding equipment (MIG, TIG, manual/automatic welders, plasma cutters, cutting torches).
  • Must meet QA welder qualifications (NADCAP).
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, safety.

Responsibilities

  • Review drawings and welding instructions to understand requirements.
  • Prioritize work orders to meet production schedules.
  • Prepare materials for welding and perform layouts.
  • Position, align, and fit components for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using manual and automatic tools.
  • Maintain safety and follow procedures; adapt to workload.
