Technique, Inc. in Jackson, Michigan is seeking a Welder to join our production team. You will set up and weld basic GTAW and GMAW joints, using MIG/TIG equipment and robotic welder.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of welding experience, AWS certification, and ability to read blueprints and GD&T. Experience with CMM reports and troubleshooting builds is a plus. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• AWS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld – MIG/TIG welding equipment to weld basic GTAW and GMAW joints.
• Assemble welded products including exhaust assemblies, racks, and fixtures.
• Perform 1st piece layouts and troubleshoot builds using CMM reports to ensure first piece quality.
• Maintain accurate job documentation for all production runs.
• Load and run robot welder in auto mode and make repairs on assemblies as needed.
• Investigate and correct issues found during build and inspection.
• Ensure products meet internal and customer requirements per CMM reports, blueprints, and AWS specs.
• Other duties as assigned by Welding Manager.
