Job summary

Technique, Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician - Robot Welder at our Jackson, Michigan facility. The role involves MIG/TIG welding, programming robotic welders, supporting QA with layouts and inspection, and assisting in fixturing design for production.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of welding experience in manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED with vocational training, and proficiency with Motoman, Panasonic, and Fanuc robots, as well as CAD and SolidWorks and GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2 years welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training.
• Proficient programming Motoman, Panasonic, and Fanuc robots.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprints.
• Experience with CAD and SolidWorks.
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up welders, weld, and troubleshoot basic GTAW and GMAW joints.
• Perform 1st piece layouts to support QA.
• Program and adjust robotic welders; modify offsets as needed.
• Maintain robotic welders with calibration and troubleshooting.
• Package parts for shipping.
• Complete documentation for production runs.
