Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a skilled welder for on-site night shift in Houston, TX. You will read complex drawings, weld carbon and alloy steels, and ensure tight tolerances while upholding lean manufacturing processes.

Must pass QA tests and hold multiple welding certifications; strong communication and teamwork are essential. Benefits include extensive health plans, 401K, parental leave, and career development programs.

Qualifications

• Must pass QA tests and be certified in at least 4 welding areas.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Read and fabricate from drawings for carbon and alloy steels.
• Perform layout, fit-up, weld-outs and final welding in all positions.
• Tack-welds all fit-ups and ensures dimensional accuracy.
• Identify materials and prepare for welding, grind bevels as needed.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives daily within the dept.
• Coach shop personnel on lean practices and safety.
