Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking skilled Manual Welders to join our manufacturing team.

This position welds and fabricates metal parts per specifications, blueprints, welding symbols, and established quality standards. Reporting to the Manual Welding Manager, the Welder performs MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding, sets up equipment, inspects completed parts, and maintains a clean, safe work area in support of production.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete an internal welding test.
• Previous welding or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of fixtures, setup procedures, and welding parameters (amps/volts).
• Basic shop math and measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding on metal parts and assemblies.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welding standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Set up welding equipment and fixtures with appropriate parameters.
• Inspect and measure completed parts for conformance to specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Perform preventive maintenance on welding equipment.
