Fike Corporation in Blue Springs, MO, is seeking a Welder to set up and operate welding equipment to join light to heavy-weight bottles. The role requires reading and interpreting work orders and drawings, and requires 2–5 years of welding experience.

Welders use Mig, Sub-Arc and Tig processes, follow safety practices and ISO9001 standards, and may operate a forklift while maintaining quality and on-time production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two to five years welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, work orders and engineered drawings.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates welding machine to weld a variety of light to heavy-weight bottles.
• Prepares metal surfaces for welding using chemicals, etches and grinders.
• Selects proper electrodes and holders, regulates amps and volts.
• Performs welding of various metals using Mig, Sub-Arc and Tig; fit-up structures and weldments per specifications.
• Maintains safety and follows ISO9001 procedures.
