Job summary

J&B Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder responsible for weld preparation, welding and finishing to produce parts per customer drawings and specifications. You will also assist in other shop fabrication tasks such as press braking, drilling, and balancing parts, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires interpretation of welding symbols, knowledge of materials and proper set up parameters, and the use of precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings with weld requirement symbols.
• Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various alloys.
• Proficient in use of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Experience with process inspection, certification, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding and weld finishing per customer drawings and specs.
• Interprets mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Maintains welding equipment and fixtures and set up parameters.
• Finish grinding using manual and power tools.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the shop.
• Other duties as assigned by area supervisor.
