Job summary

Flowtec Group in Wichita, KS is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to lay out, fit, weld, and fabricate metal weldments per work orders, blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently across multiple projects with minimal supervision, while adhering to safety procedures and quality standards. Proficiency in MIG/TIG/stick welding, blue-print reading, layout, and use of measurement tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding, fabrication, fitting, and layout.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong understanding of welding and structural fabrication practices.
• Ability to use measurement and inspection equipment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to pass a welding test.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and other welding processes.
• Fit and fabricate structural weldments using shop practices.
• Weld according to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Document progress and complete projects within deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with other departments to complete projects efficiently.
