Job summary

SMS group Inc. is seeking a Welder in Mokena, IL to join a manufacturing team focused on fabrication and assembly of industrial equipment. You will perform welding across multiple positions and materials, using arc, MIG, and TIG processes.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical applications.
• Read and interpret welding prints.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations such as arc, MIG, TIG brazing and burning in all positions.
• Operate drill press to make parts for fabrication.
• Record measurements and pertinent information as required.
• Weld per SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards; vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal.
• Air carbon arc cutting.
• Pipe bending, fitting, welding, and threading.
• Set up and operate welding machines; basic troubleshooting.
