Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing is hiring a Warehouse Picker to join our Abilene, KS facility. The role involves receiving, storing, distributing and routing parts throughout the plant, supporting Abilene East, Abilene West, and Kipp locations as needed.

You will be responsible for accurate order picking, inventory control, and safe operation of equipment like pallet jacks. A strong emphasis on teamwork and compliance with Lean practices and OSHA safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials on racks or bins according to sequences.
• Retrieve parts from storage for production needs.
• Pick orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assist in regular inventory counts and audits.
• Inspect parts for damage before delivery and report issues.
• Distribute picked items to production areas.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Ensure PPE and safety regulations are followed.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
