Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a warehouse associate to accurately select products for shipment, prepare pallets, and label items. You will operate an electric pallet jack, ensure product integrity, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and adherence to GMP and SQF standards. The candidate should be comfortable in cold environments and long shift durations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift 10–75 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constant bending/twisting with pallet jack or forklift.
• Work in extreme temperatures (cooler/freezer).
• Stand 10–12 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot and description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
• Attach labels on product.
• Operate an electric pallet jack to the correct slot location and transport to dock for staging.
• Handle products with care.
• Report damage to merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment checks.
• Assist in cleaning the facility and sign off on cleaning area as assigned.
• Sign in/out for all equipment used.
• Use basic communication skills to understand work systems and instructions.
• Adhere to GMP, personal hygiene, and SQF policies per Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
