Baker Hughes in Wisconsin seeks a Safety Valve Technician to assemble, repair, test, and validate PRVs, safety and control valves. You will work with operations, quality, engineering and service teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, valve servicing, calibration, and adherence to API standards, while maintaining a safe, efficient workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree preferred; equivalent technical education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of valve assembly, repair, testing, or related mechanical service experience.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and calibration tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
• Experience operating pressure testing and valve diagnostic equipment.
• Hands-on experience with Stainless Steel Tubing Bending.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex valve components per drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Perform functional, pressure, and performance testing on PRVs, Safety, and Control valves.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment to standards.
• Calibrate tools and maintain assembly equipment.
• Conduct precision torquing to specifications.
• Read technical drawings and specs; troubleshoot issues.
• Support QA with QNs and corrective actions.
• Safely operate cranes, hoists, and workshop equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment per EHS procedures.
• Tube bending with stainless steel; ensure tolerances.
