Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX is seeking a Mechanical Assembler and Inspector to disassemble, inspect, and assemble valve-related components. You will read drawings, follow BOMs, perform measurements with micrometers and calipers, and document results in final inspection reports.

The role requires high school diploma, accuracy, and ability to work with hand and power tools in a loud shop environment; prior mechanical experience is preferred and strict adherence to 5S housekeeping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must measure parts with micrometers, calipers or similar tools.
• Must read and interpret drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, and record measurements of returned customer parts.
• Communicate findings via email to Applications Engineers and/or Supply Chain.
• Follow BOM/drawings to verify and assemble valve-related components.
• Read work orders or instructions to ensure parts meet drawing dimensions.
• Deburr parts using hand or powered tools as needed.
• Adjust torque wrenches as required.
• Perform and observe leak tests to ensure valves seal correctly.
• Conduct visual inspections and complete final inspection reports.
