Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Sheboygan, WI is seeking an Assembler for truss production on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts. Wage is $19.00–$21.50 per hour. Responsibilities include assembling trusses, inspecting components, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the production line.

The role requires indoor/outdoor work in varying weather, up to 50 lbs lifting, and basic math. Previous forklift experience is preferred; opportunities to learn and grow with the company exist.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous forklift experience or willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in variable weather.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, physical environment; knowledge of hand/power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trusses by placing components on tables and securing with reinforcement plates.
• Verify dimensions of pre-cut parts and assemblies using rulers and gauges.
• Maintain accurate placement of stops and guides to ensure assembly accuracy.
• Operate roller conveyors, stackers, and assist in banding and securing assemblies for shipment.
• Move lumber carts and assist forklift operators during unloading; ensure safety procedures are followed.
