Job summary

ETE REMAN in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Transmission Inspector to coordinate inspection, lay out builder trays, and ensure high quality parts for production lines. You will thoroughly inspect components, clean and assemble transmissions according to our procedures, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily demand on the line.

In this full-time role, you’ll read and follow detailed work instructions, use gauges, verify units, and help maintain a fast, accurate workflow while upholding safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; detail oriented and able to follow instructions.
• Mechanical background or machine shop experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand 8+ hours.
• Willingness to work with chemicals and get dirty.
• Strong time management and teamwork.
• Regular, reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect parts, assemble builder trays, maintain one piece flow in order not to mix job numbers.
• Process at minimum 2 units/trays per hour and assist others when caught up with one’s own work.
• Ensure all parts are clean, free from dirt & grime and are in good usable condition for production.
• Read and follow detailed assembly work instructions, process & procedures and keep an even work flow.
• Verify & perform quality checks to ensure all parts and assemblies are correct for the given unit being built.
• Monitor and utilize computer system, level units up, assign trays to builders and scan serial numbers for job.
• Follow and use VKS on every unit to verify that the unit is built correctly and to ETE Reman’s standards.
• Keep work area clean of loose debris and dirt, sweep and mop job area throughout the day.
• Suggest improvements, help train new personnel, communicate all issues, work overtime when needed.
• Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily.
