Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Automotive technology coursework.
• Certifications: ASE or related transmission repair certs are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Assembly & Disassembly: Perform transmission assembly and disassembly according to technical specifications and industry standards
• Inspection & Diagnostics: Inspect components for wear, damage, or defects; use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues
• Rebuilding: Replace or repair faulty parts and reassemble transmissions
• Testing: Conduct final testing on rebuilt transmissions using dynamometers and diagnostic software
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of parts used, labor performed, and test results
• Inventory & Ordering: Assist with managing transmission component inventory and ordering parts
• Technical Support: Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex transmission issues
