Job summary

Twin Disc, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Assembler for 1st shift in a high-mix manufacturing environment. You will assemble complete transmissions and subassemblies, perform precision measurements, and conduct basic functional testing per quality requirements.

The role requires reading blueprints or work instructions, using torque tools, and maintaining a safe, organized workstation while supporting continuous improvement efforts and cross-training.

Qualifications

• Reading work instructions and engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble transmissions and subassemblies using fixtures and hand tools.
• Set up torque tools and verify torque values per specification.
• Install seals, gaskets, O-rings, snap rings, and retaining hardware as instructed.
• Measure and verify critical characteristics using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges.
• Follow standardized work instructions and maintain 5S at the workstation.
