Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience as a manual machinist, toolroom machinist, or toolmaker in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to interpret drawings and use precision inspection tools accurately.
Experience producing precision tooling, fixtures, and gages to close tolerances.
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, workholding methods, and machining sequences to meet specs.
Adept at troubleshooting and modifying tooling to address wear or changes.

Responsibilities

Manufacture and assemble precision fixtures, workholding devices, custom tooling, and gages.
Set up and operate manual jig borers, lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other toolroom equipment.
Interpret drawings and GD&T to plan machining operations.
Inspect finished components with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gauges.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve tooling and efficiency.
