JMJ PHILLIP seeks a Toolmaker to join our skilled manufacturing team in Beaumont, CA. You will build, modify, and maintain precision tooling, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures, and work with manual and CNC equipment.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, ensuring dimensional accuracy, collaborating with production and engineering, and contributing to continuous improvement. A strong machining background and meticulous problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Toolmaker or related role.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and modify precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Machine and fit components to precise tolerances using manual and CNC equipment as needed.
• Verify tooling dimensions and functionality before release to production.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production tooling.
• Diagnose tooling issues and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Recommend tooling improvements to enhance performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve tooling-related challenges.
• Assist with tooling changeovers and support new product introductions.
• Provide technical recommendations for improving manufacturing efficiency.
