Job summary

Anchor Fabrication in LaVergne, TN is seeking a Precision Tooling and Die Fabrication Specialist on 2nd shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm, Mon–Fri, with weekend overtime as needed). Review blueprints, select materials, and plan machining sequences to produce precision dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tooling that our teams rely on daily.

You will set up and operate lathes, mills, shapers, and grinders, verify conformance to drawings, guide Tool & Die Makers, Machinists, and press staff, and collaborate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of Tool & Die experience; Journeyman’s card preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Repair, construct, modify, and maintain dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and tooling in partnership with Engineering.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to machine parts and prototypes; ensure parts meet drawings/specs.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to Tool & Die Makers, Machinists, and Press personnel for complex setups and operations.
• Study specifications and visualize materials and equipment to fabricate parts; determine assembly methods.
• Measure and verify parts to specification; inspect legacy dies and tools for improvements.
