Job summary

AmTab in Bensenville, IL seeks a Tool & Die Machinist to own complex tooling from concept to production-ready parts, ensuring flawless fit and finish. You will construct and restore progressive and single-hit dies, craft precise jigs and fixtures, generate layouts, drawings, and clear assembly documentation, and sharpen dies to deliver consistent results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent blend of education/certifications.
• 3+ years in Tool & Die/Machinist capacity (or similar).
• Hands-on Tool & Die experience required.

Responsibilities

• Construct and restore progressive and single-hit dies that hold tolerance on the press.
• Create and refine jigs and fixtures that accelerate furniture manufacturing without sacrificing quality.
• Generate tooling layouts, detailed drawings, and clear assembly documentation.
• Sharpen, dress, and maintain dies to deliver consistent results shift after shift.
• Lead targeted improvements across tooling, products, and processes to resolve root causes and raise efficiency.
