As a Die Maker you will build and repair dies, develop tooling, maintain documentation, and lead improvement initiatives to ensure safe, durable products for educational spaces. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least three years of die making or machinist experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker or machinist.
• Proven tool and die experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair progressive and single-station dies.
• Develop, maintain, and improve tooling for production.
• Create tooling layouts and detailed drawings.
• Maintain dies to ensure tight tolerances and uptime.
• Lead continuous improvement across tooling and processes.

Role snapshot

• Build and repair: progressive dies and single-station dies for production.
• Jigs and fixtures: develop, maintain, and improve tooling that supports furniture manufacturing.
• Documentation: produce tooling layouts, detailed drawings, and final assembly documentation.
• Maintenance: sharpen and service dies to maintain tight tolerances and uptime.
• Improvement: lead continuous improvement initiatives across tooling, products, and processes.

Must-have qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and certifications.
• 3+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker/Machinist or closely related role.
• Proven Tool and Die experience (non-negotiable).

Preferred physical abilities

• Lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Remain stationary for extended periods as job tasks require.

Technical strengths

• Equipment troubleshooting and general problem-solving.
• Metal stamping/forming with progressive die systems.
• Manual machining expertise.
• Tool/die/mold repair and setup.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
