Qualifications

• Experience setting up tooling for machining operations.
• Familiarity with shop math and tool geometry.
• Ability to read tooling setup sheets.
• Must work safely at all times.

Responsibilities

• Work with tooling setup sheets.
• Use gauges to check and set tools.
• Inspect tools for sharpness at operation end.
• Route tooling to grind, replace, or return as required.
• Maintain tooling records and inventory.
• Perform crib attendant duties as required.
• Apply machining practices, shop math, and tool geometry knowledge.
• Set tools with supervision as needed.
• Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor as appropriate.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects (5S, TPM, kaizen events).
• Identify and participate in safety and environmental improvements.
