Job summary

Qualitrol is seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our team. The role uses lathes, mills, surface grinders and other equipment to create tooling and fixtures for production.

You will generate/read blueprints, use measuring devices to make or modify tooling, and set up tool room machines for specific tasks. You will collaborate with the production and process engineering teams to design tooling/fixtures for production processes, ensure tools are sharp and in good condition, maintain stock, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Tool and Die Maker Apprenticeship/Certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining fixtures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
• Teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate/read blueprints and use measuring devices to make, or modify, tooling and fixtures for production.
• Work with production and process engineering teams to design tooling/fixtures for production processes.
• Maintain tools; sharpen and keep tool holders in good condition; requisition parts as needed.
• Set up and operate tool room machines for specific tools and tasks.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
• Participate in department/shift/team meetings.
