Job summary

Argo Products Company is seeking a skilled machinist/tooling fabricator to repair and build fixtures, jigs, dies, and gauges. The role involves troubleshooting tooling while collaborating with engineers in a team environment to improve processes.

The candidate should read engineering drawings, use precision instruments, and set up machine tools such as lathes and grinders. Independent work and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• 3+ years’ experience in a tool fabrication environment.
• Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Able to work independently and with machinists and engineers.
• Skilled with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products.
• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Build, repair, and maintain tooling and dies for production processes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve processes and designs.
