Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Strong attention to detail and math skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Overtime and weekend work as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, honing machines, surface grinders, hydraulic presses.
• Cut, ream, lap and polish carbide inserts to tight tolerances (0.0003"/0.0005").
• Assemble inserts with or without cap/wafer into a die case.
• Understand finishes, extrusion relief, angles, radius, venting, carbide grades and toolmaking variables.
• Read and interpret blueprints and customer drawings to industry specifications.
