Job summary

Micro-Coax, an Amphenol Company, is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to design, build, and maintain tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures for production. You will interpret blueprints and CAD drawings, set up tooling, operate CNC machinery, and ensure precision and quality across parts and processes.

The role requires hands-on experience with precision measuring tools, basic machining knowledge, and the ability to work independently within a team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (e.g., vocational training) is required.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, indicators, height gauges, gauge pins, and optical comparators.
• Experience in aerospace, military/defense, cable assembly, or make-to-order manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, customer-provided part drawings, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Support manufacturing and engineering by producing tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment on time and per drawings.
• Safely operate tool room equipment such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines to meet specs.
• Inspect tools and parts for defects to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and modify tools and dies and support process improvements.
