Job summary

Denso is seeking a MTd Tool & Die Maintenance Associate on the 2nd shift in Maryville, TN. Work in the Tool and Die department to provide prompt and high-quality tooling and services to internal and external customers, meeting deadlines with precision.

Responsibilities include using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges to verify parts to +/-0.01mm, operating conventional machining equipment as needed, applying PDCA for process improvements, and collaborating with engineering and production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and apply math with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to prioritize work to support production efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Utilize measuring equipment to confirm parts meet print specs to tolerances of +/-0.01mm.
• Operate manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses) to modify parts to +/-0.01mm.
• Analyze, modify and optimize repeat jobs for efficiency.
• Apply the PDCA process to identify process improvements.
• Perform repairs including machining, hand work, and assembly of tooling components.
• Adhere to all Denso safety rules on the plant floor.
• Support new product development with Production Engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to reduce downtime.
• Maintain detailed logs and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
