Job summary

Hanwha Materials Savannah LLC, a leading forged components producer in Midway, GA, seeks a Tool and Die Machinist to troubleshoot die performance and manufacture tooling for plant operations. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, read blueprints, and help maintain dies and tooling to support high-pressure forging processes.

Eligible candidates have at least 3 years as a machinist, experience with inspection tools, and knowledge of steels and nickel used in forge manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience measuring parts with inspection tools.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a machinist.
• Knowledge of steels and nickel used in forge manufacturing.
• US work authorization required; ITAR compliance.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering with troubleshooting die performance issues.
• Create written and electronic work orders for die repairs.
• Organize machining and repair schedules for tooling.
• Create status reports on tooling progress.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow company policy.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, drill presses; hand tools; cranes.
• Read blueprints and GD&T; evaluate die condition; document status.
• Learn to setup new equipment; understand speeds/feeds; communicate with engineering.
