Job summary

Georg Fischer is seeking a skilled machinist/tool-and-die professional to manufacture, repair, and assist in tool and die design for production equipment. You will read and interpret complex prints, set up CNC mills and lathes, and work with tight tolerances to ensure component quality.

You will also help maintain 6S standards, participate in quality checks, and collaborate with engineers and production staff to meet manufacturing needs. High school diploma and machining experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; technical/vocational certification in Tool and Die or machining is desired.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in machining.
• CAM software knowledge is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance of machine tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret technical prints to understand required parts.
• Program and run CNC milling and CNC lathe as required.
• Set up and run manual mills and lathes as required.
• Measure finished parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure specs.
• Assemble, disassemble, and test products for functionality and quality.
• Follow 6S and EH&S rules in the work area.
