Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Proven welding experience with TIG and MIG.
• MIG and TIG certificates.
• Strong understanding of drawings, blueprints, and tolerances.
• Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlines.
• Commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up the welding station, equipment, and supplies, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production specifications.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding to company quality standards and to production standards.
• Material inspection to identify defects that could impact welding.
• Maintain and inspect welding fixtures for wear and alignment.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances and adjust machine settings.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep the work area clean.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and coordinate with supervision/maintenance.
• Document production output and issues for process improvement.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
