Job summary

Seah-Steel-US is seeking a Threadline Inspector to join our Houston, TX facility. This full-time role performs thread inspection on tubular pipe joints to confirm conformance to specified tolerances using precision gauges and instruments.

You will ensure gauges and tools are calibrated, store instruments properly, and spot-check processes for quality conformance. The position requires manual dexterity, accurate documentation, and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• At least 3 months on-the-job training or previous inspection experience.
• Experience in OCTG pipe inspection is preferable.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with overtime and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect threads in conformance to the required specification.
• Ensure inspection gauges and instruments meet standards and are calibrated.
• Properly store gauges before and after daily shifts.
• Spot check other processes for quality conformance and report findings.
• Inspect threads for conformity to company, API, and customer standards.
• Mark threads for identification and traceability.
• Verify material for identification per the Work Order.
• Communicate concerns with the Thread Operator and provide feedback during threading.
• Fill out the Daily Production/Inspection Report.
• Follow all instructions as delegated by the Quality System.
• Other duties as assigned.
