Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an Intermediate Technician to coordinate and execute measurements in an industrial environment, documenting results and supporting production activities after training. You will inspect complex components with precision devices and nondestructive testing techniques, ensuring quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include calibrating tools, recording results, and supporting inspection tasks across lifting, welding, and fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Associates degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Journeyman's papers in a related field with 2+ years experience.
• Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator qualification with 2+ years experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute measurements and document results in an industrial setting.
• Inspect and record adequacy of complex components using precision devices.
• Support discrepancies in lifting, welding, inspection, and fabrication activities through surveillance and records.
• Perform tool calibrations and maintain related records.
